• Pronunciation - You will learn the Chinese alphabet called "Pin-Yin"
• Tones - You will learn the 4 Chinese tones which are very important when speaking
• Word structuring - You will learn how Chinese words are formed by a prefix and suffix, just like in English
• Basic grammar - You will learn basic grammar structures to form simple sentences
• Short dialouges - The dialogues are designed to let you see the language in action

The Online Beginner's Chinese Course will focus mainly on pronunciation and tones. While reading and writing are also important, they are not necessary when learning how to speak the language. However, there will be a "Chinese Characters" section in the course to assist you with reading and writing Chinese characters if you wish to learn. In this course, you will learn that there is a Chinese pronunciation system called "Pin-yin" which uses letters, not characters, to teach you how to pronounce Chinese words.
